Proposal: Throughout Connecticut, fixed route transit stops are ideally situated for multifamily development that allows easy access to public transportation. Many of these locations, especially those along the MetroNorth line, are also in high resource communities with exceptional schools and a variety of other amenities. This proposal would permit as-of-right development of multifamily housing within a half mile of such transit hubs.
