Dallas Mobility

The mobility counseling program of the Inclusive Community Project in Dallas, TX first started as the result of a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and others claiming that the Housing Choice Voucher program in the Dallas area was run in a way that violated the 14th Amendment and the other civil rights law prohibiting racial discrimination in housing.  Program participants receive counseling and move-related financial assistance.  The program's results are impressive.  For more about the program, click here.  Below are outcomes in the Dallas area for Housing Choice Voucher families finding housing with and without mobility counseling.
