Internships & Fellowships

Open Communities Alliance's work relies on the assistance of interns and fellows to fulfill its mission.

The Pottenger Fellowship offers law students nationwide an unparalleled opportunity to delve into legal/public policy careers with a focus on strategies that address housing segregation and its impact.  Fellows will explore the historical and legal foundations of housing segregation, hone their advocacy and organizing skills, and deepen their knowledge of housing justice-related legislation and litigation. This immersive program both equips fellows with practical expertise and also lays the groundwork for their long-term professional growth.

Internships with OCA offer the opportunity to work in a wide variety of areas because of the complexity of the work that OCA does and the small size of our staff. To the greatest extent possible, projects are geared towards the intern's interests and goals for the internship. OCA welcomes interns who are either undergraduate students, or graduate students pursuing their J.D., M.S.W., or other related graduate degree.
