Margaret Middleton, Legal Director, [email protected], 860-610-6040
Margaret Middleton has dedicated her professional life to meeting the needs and expanding the rights of extremely economically marginalized people in her community.
Margaret co-founded and served as the Executive Director of Connecticut Veterans Legal Center, the first group in the country to integrate legal help for low-income veterans with the VA healthcare system. Margaret's vision established CVLC as a national voice in veterans advocacy. During that time Margaret spent five years co-teaching the Yale Law School's Veterans Legal Services clinic.
Margaret left CVLC to join the faculty at Georgia State University College of Law in Atlanta where she taught the Health Law Partnership Clinic and Health Law Advocacy. Immediately prior to joining OCA, Margaret served as the CEO of a large housing and homeless service provider, shepherding that agency and its clients safely through and out of the COVID crisis.
Margaret is a graduate of Cornell University's Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and NYU Law. For more details visit her profile on LinkedIn.
