Claudia Gonzalez has a long career in public service in various roles. First, as an outreach coordinator at the Downtown Hartford Public Library’s The American Place providing support and services to immigrants and refugees. In her role as a Fair Housing Specialist at the Connecticut Fair Housing Center, she coordinated the Center’s extensive rental and sales testing program as well as supported and guided clients through fair housing complaints, the housing voucher process and use, and the experience of securing housing from various sources. Most recently, Ms. Gonzalez has been teaching Spanish to students in grades K- 12 in the Hartford Public Schools and the Enfield Public Schools Districts. Ms. Gonzalez is a graduate of Trinity College, Hartford where she double majored in Hispanic Studies and Educational Studies Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa. A native from El Salvador who grew up in Los Angeles, Ms. Gonzalez is a proud mother of four children.
