Abi Dresser is a Hartford native. She attended Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy for high school, and continued her education at the College of the Holy Cross, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Arts in political science with a concentration in Latin American studies. After college, Abi went on to work for U.S. Senator Chris Murphy’s district office in Hartford as a staff assistant and the intern coordinator. Within Senator Murphy’s office, Abi hired, trained, and supported 36 students across six different internship sessions with her focus being on increasing student diversity within the office’s internship program to reflect the diversity of the colleges and universities across Connecticut.

Abi’s passion for equitable housing started young through her mother’s work within Connecticut’s Fair Housing Center as a paralegal. As a college student and as an adult, Abi’s volunteerism and career has centered around what needs to be done throughout Connecticut to make housing a right.
