WHAT: Open Communities Alliance will release our new Resource-Equity Map and accompanying Mobility App, designed to help people find the housing that is right for their needs and inform communities investments.

Redressing the history of segregation and the limits on housing choices does not happen by itself. This webinar is designed to inform residents, policymakers, and advocates about the latest in data and mapping to determine the path to greater equity in housing and investments that bring resources to places that have long been disinvested from. We have mapped every town in the state and its access to resources to guide state spending and ensure there are housing choices that work for all households.

• Resource-Equity Mapping, a tool to assess whether resources and opportunities are available on an equal basis across Connecticut.

• The Mobility App, a search tool that assists housing voucher households access full information about the value of their voucher in any zip code in the state.

• Strategies to put these mapping tools to work to guide place-based investments and expand affordable housing opportunities to all neighborhoods, including in affordable housing programs.
