Fair Share Visioning Session

Can we envision a Connecticut where every town is vibrant, diverse, and hosting a sustainable level of affordable housing that fairly contributes to its region's overall need?

During the 2016/2017 academic year Open Communities Alliance is working with a team of planning graduate students from NYU's Wagner School for Public Service which is helping us consider the right data inputs to generate a "fair share housing" template. Help us think outside of the box as we work to envision a structure that would allocate affordable housing need by carefully considering town resources, existing affordable housing stock, environmental impact, transportation availability, access to high performing schools and healthy neighborhoods, employment proximity and much, much more.

Please join us on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the Connecticut Non-Profit Center (75 Charter Oak Avenue) for a visioning session so we can be sure we are looking at the full range of factors that should inform this work. The session will include:

Schedule: Friday, March 3, 2017, 10:00 am – 2:30 pm

9:30 am - 10:00 am: Registration and coffee

10:00 am – 12:30 pm: Visioning session for stakeholders

12:30 pm – 2:30 pm: Exploring Fair Share data needs

Please RSVP by March 1st!
