Bildade Augustin, Consultant

Bildade has spent her life’s work in personal development through education and workforce readiness. She is currently the Program Manager for Capital Crossroads to Careers (C3) at Capital Community College, a highly competitive program for students pursuing careers in the Insurance and Business Finance disciplines through a partnership with Travelers, Inc. and United Health Care. Along with her role with C3, she works with Connecticut’s North Central Region business sectors in ensuring that students completing certification/trade programs through the Department of Workforce and Continuing Education enter into vibrant employment opportunities within the community. 

As an Adjunct Lecturer for the college, Bildade spends extensive time focusing on a body of work that improves student’s readiness for the academic and workforce arenas. Her course work is taught under the umbrella of Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS) where her target audiences are individuals re-entering the workforce as adults, urban youth, and individuals of immigrant populations. Her course work reflects real-life data and information in today’s labor market and its connection to entering/re-entering the post secondary education arena, understanding dynamics of academia, rules, and policies to increase persistence and graduation outcomes for successful career attainment. 

In her past work Bildade has served in a number of important roles serving Greater Hartford, and is proud of having served over 400 unique individuals and their families in progressing towards economic and academic success. As a community member, Bildade sits on the School Governance Committee and Board for High School, Inc., a high school serving the urban youth of the Hartford community, focused on supporting students towards careers in Insurance and Finance. Bildade is mother to a beautiful 5 year old girl and holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree in Sociology from Charter Oak State College.
